Photo courtesty of the Evangelisch Church Archives, Herford, Germany.Our direct line ancestor, (#50) Albert HenrichG4 was born in 1786, the same year that Frederick the Great died and was succeeded by his nephew, Frederick Wilhelm II.1 Albert HenrichG4 was the great grandson of EberdtG1 Glied; the grandson of JobstG2 Glied; and the illegitimate son of Albert HenrichG3 Glied and Anne Marie Ilsabein Wörheide. The first part of this chapter covers the story of our direct ancestor Albert HenrichG4 and his family. The second part covers the lives of his mother, step-father and his half-sisters. The setting for this chapter is still the modern day state of Nordrhein/Westfalen, Germany. In this chapter our ancestors will live in the Kirchspiels (parishes) of Herford and Hiddenhausen.
50. ALBERT HENRICHG4 GLIED (Eberdt,G1 JobstG2 ), the illegitimate son of Anne Marie Ilsabein Wörheide and the free Heürling, Albert HenrichG3 Glied, was born on 20 May 1786 at Bauerschaft Niederjöllenbeck #14, Westfalen, Germany. He was baptized on 24 May 1786 at the Evangelisch Church in Jöllenbeck, Westfalen, Germany. His only sponsor was Albert Herm Glied.2 Albert'sG4 mother and father never married. His father married Anne Margarethe Ilsabein Bökermann on 14 Nov 1788 at Schildesche, Westfalen, Germany.3 While his mother married Johann Friedrich Bohlmann.4 Apparently AlbertG4 was never adopted by his step-father, Johann Bohlmann, as he was known as Albert HenrichG4 Glied. AlbertG4 lived with his mother, step-father and half-sisters. Over the years, the family of Johann Bohlmann lived in several different places. They lived at Bauerschaft Laer between 1788-1790, Stedefreund by 1793, and Hollinde by 1794. The family finally settled at Oldinghausen bei #4 which is located near Enger, a town 9 Km. Northwest of Herford, Westfalen, Germany.5 While they lived at Bauerschaft Laer, Stedefreund, and Hollinde, Albert,G4 his mother and step-father attended the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church at Herford. After they moved to Oldinghausen, they attended the Evangelisch Church at Enger.
Also living in this area was the Westerwelle(n) family. The Colon, Berend Henrich and Anne Marie Westerwelle(n) nee Giesselmann lived at Bauerschaft Eicum. They also attended the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church at Herford. Berend and Anne Westerwelle(n) had the following children: Ernst Henrich (1782-1816); Anna Ilsabein (1784-1862), Anne Margrethe Ilsabein (1786-1804); Johann Henrich Wilhelm (1794-1797); Caspar Henrich (1796-1796) and Anne Catharine Ilsabein (1799- ). It's not surprising that Albert knew this Westerwelle(n) family since they attended the same church. What is surprising is that a marriage between the children of a Colon and Heürling took place. AlbertG4 apparently was an exception to the custom concerning a marriage between children of a Colon and an Heürling. He was a Heürling and Anne Margrethe Ilsabein was the daughter of a Colon. Such a marriage was almost unthinkable then. AlbertG4 not only married one of Berend Westerwelle(n)'s daughters, but two. AlbertG4 married Anne Margrethe Ilsabein first and after her death, he married her sister, Anna Ilsabein.
As the new century came in, Napoleon Bonaparte became the "Consul for Life" and assumed almost sovereign powers of the French government.6 We can only speculate on the effect of the "Age of Enlightenment", the French Revolution (1789-1799), and Napoleon's rise to power had on Albert'sG4 childhood. By 1806, Napoleon had invaded Germany and occupied the city of Hannover, resulting in the defeat of Prussian State. With the collapse of the Prussian State, Napoleon brought reforms to the regions under his rule. He made all men free--serfdom was abolished and enabled people of social classes to hold civil offices.7
During this time of unrest, AlbertG4 wed his first wife. On 15 Apr 1804, Albert HenrichG4 Glied, age 18, wed ANNE MARGRETHE ILSABEIN WESTERWELLE(N), age 17, at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.8 Anne Margrethe Ilsabein (1786-1804), the daughter of the Colon Berend Henrich and Anne Marie Westerwelle(n) nee Giesselmann, was born on 5 Dec 1786 at Bauerschaft Eicum and was baptized on 16 Dec 1786 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.9 AlbertG4 and Anne were the youngest couple of our ancestors to marry. They were married the day before their son was born. After their marriage, AlbertG4 and Anne made their home with her parents at Bauerschaft Eicum #41, where AlbertG4 was a Heürling.10 AlbertG4 apparently knew who his natural father was and kept in contact with him. When AlbertG4 and Anne had their first child, they asked Albert'sG4 natural father to be their newborn son's only sponsor.
The only child of Albert HenrichG4 and Anne Margrethe Ilsabein Glied nee Westerwelle(n):
103. FRIEDRICH WILHELMG5 GLIED (1804-1805), the only child of AlbertG4 and Anne Margrethe Glied nee Westerwelle(n), was born on 16 Apr 1804 at Bauerschaft Eicum #41 and was baptized on 20 Apr 1804 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany. His only sponsor was the Erbpächter, Albert HenrichG3 Glied from Schildesche.11 Friedrich, age 1, died at 6 P.M. from Auszehrung (consumption) on 12 Apr 1805 at Bauerschaft Eicum #41 and was buried on 16 Apr 1805.12
AlbertG4 loss his wife shortly after the birth of their only child. Anne Margrethe Glied nee Westerwelle(n) died at 7 P.M. from Schwindsucht (consumption) on 2 Aug 1804 at their home in Bauerschaft Eicum #41 at the age of 17 years, 4 months and 10 days. She was buried in the Münstergemeinde Kirchhof at Herford on 6 Aug 1804.13

On 7 Dec 1806, Albert HenrichG4 Glied, age 21, wed his second wife, ANNA ILSABEIN WESTERWELLE(N), age 22. Anna Ilsabein was the elder sister to Albert'sG4 first wife. They were married at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.14 Anna Ilsabein (1784-1862), the daughter of the Colon, Berend Henrich and Anne Marie Ilsabein Westerwelle(n) nee Giesselmann, was born on 28 Oct 1784 at Bauerschaft Eicum #41, and was baptized on 31 Oct 1784 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.15 After their marriage, AlbertG4 and Anna lived at Bauerschaft Eicum. Between 1809 and 1813, AlbertG4 moved his family to Bauerschaft Diebrock where they lived for several years. During the early years of their marriage, AlbertG4 was a Heürling. Sometime before 1842, AlbertG4 and his family moved to Bauerschaft Altstädt were AlbertG4 was able to purchase a small plot of land. AlbertG4 was now known as a Neubauer. Usually a Neubauer was deeply in debt.16 AlbertG4 and Anna Ilsabein had ten children, three of which were stillborn.
AlbertG4 and Anna raised their family during a time of great change and political unrest. The life their parents knew was changed forever. During the first half of the 1800's, the cottage industry of weaving and spinning of linen declined for several reasons, one being the Napoleonic Wars. Another major reason for the decline to the linen industry was industrialization. Factories could produce linen products faster and cheaper now. Lastly, linen was being replaced by cotton. So where our ancestors were once Spinners and Webers, they were now forced to earn additional monies by simple agriculture. In the 1830's, there was an unsuccessful revolution between the peasants who owned land and the rural lower class, the Heürlings. Over the years following this unsuccessful revolution, the distinction between those who have and those who have not grew. The distinction increased because of certain conditions. The price for linen reached an all time high in 1838 before falling to all time lows in the 1840's. This was followed by bad harvests in 1846 and 1847 caused by a potato blight. The bad harvests caused the price of grain to soar. Finally, all the feelings of frustration came to a head resulting in the revolt of 1848. The lower rural class took part in street demonstrations showing their frustration and dissatisfaction with exiting conditions. Despite the revolt, the farmers had a good harvest in 1848 which helped to lower the grain prices to near normal. The economy also improved.17 During the 1850's, AlbertG4 and Anna saw the economy grow. The production of consumer goods increased as well as the means to transport the goods. The lengths of the railroads were expanded greatly.
AlbertG4 and Anna Ilsabein grew old together at their home in Bauerschaft Altstädt and witnessed many changes. Anna Ilsabein Glied nee Westerwelle(n) died on 18 Apr 1862 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60 at the age of 77 years, 5 months from Alterschwäche (debility of old age). Her funeral sermon was given on 23 Apr 1862 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church followed by her burial in the Münstergemeinde Kirchhof. She was survived by her husband, Albert,G4 and five children.18 Albert HenrichG4 Glied died two years later at 10 A.M. from Gehirnschlag (stroke) on 11 Jul 1865 at his home at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60 at the age of 79 years, 1 month. His funeral sermon was given on 14 Jul 1865 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church followed by his burial in the Münstergemeinde Kirchhof. AlbertG4 was an Erbpächter at the time of his death.19
Albert HenrichG4 and his second wife, Anna Ilsabein Glied nee Westerwelle(n) had the following ten children:
104. JOHANN HENRICHG5 GLIED (1807-1896), the first child of the Heürling, Albert HenrichG4 and Anna Ilsabein Glied nee Westerwelle(n), was born on 8 Jan 1807 at Bauerschaft Eicum #37 and was baptized on 11 Jan 1807 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.20 When Johann got married, he was a single man living at Bauerschaft Altstädt. He was also a Heürling. On 26 Mar 1843, Johann Henrich Glied, age 35, wed ANNE ILSABEIN DREüER, age 24, from Elferdissen, Westfalen, Germany. They were married at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.21 Anne Ilsabein (1816-1862), the daughter of the Heürling, Johann Henrich and Anne Marie Christine Dre˙er nee Schörmann, was born at 6 A.M. on 29 Jun 1816 at Elferdissen #6 and was baptized on 30 Jun 1816 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.22 After their marriage, Johann and Anne made their home at Elferdissen #2, where Johann was a Heürling.23 Anne Ilsabein Glied nee Dre˙er, age 45, died from Brustfieber (pneumonia) on 4 Jan 1862 at Elferdissen #2 and was buried on 8 Jan 1862. She was survived by her husband, Johann and three children.24 Johann did not remarry. Johann Henrich Glied, age 89, died from Alterschwäche (debility of old age), on 7 Jan 1896 at Feldmark, Westfalen, Germany. He was survived by three children.25 The children of Johann and Anne Glied nee Dre˙er: 105. Hanne, 109. Johann, and 115. Hermann.
105. i. HANNE FRIEDERIKEG6 GLIED (1844-1916), the first child of the Heürling, Johann and Anne Glied nee Dre˙er, was born on 9 Jan 1844 at Elferdissen #2, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 14 Jan 1844 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.26 On 23 Feb 1873, Hanne Friederike Glied, age 29, wed HERMANN HEINRICH ERDSIEK, age 33. They were married at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.27 Hermann (1840-1905), the son of the Erbpächter, Friedrich Wilhelm and Hanne Wilhelmine Erdsiek nee Bensiek, was born on 9 Feb 1840 at Brake #21 and was baptized on 16 Feb 1840 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.28 Hermann had a brother, Friedrich Wilhelm Erdsiek, who married Henriette Glied in 1880. Henriette Glied (#172) and Hanne Friederike Glied (#105) were first cousins. Hanne and Hermann made their home at Elferdissen, where Hermann was a Colon (a farmer on a full sized farm). Hermann, age 65, died on 8 Jan 1905 at Elferdissen #95 and was buried on 12 Jan 1905. He was survived by his wife, Hanne, and three children.29 Hanne Erdsiek nee Glied, age 72, died on 7 Dec 1916 at Elferdissen #95 and was buried on 13 Dec 1916. She was survived by three married sons.30 The children of Hermann and Hanne Erdsiek nee Glied: 106. Johann, 107. Heinrich, and 108. Hermann.
106. i. JOHANN FRIEDRICHG7 ERDSIEK (1874- ), the first child of the Erbpächter, Hermann and Hanne Erdsiek nee Glied, was born on 24 Jan 1874 at Elferdissen #95, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 1 Feb 1874 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.31
107. ii. HEINRICH WILHELMG7 ERDSIEK (1876- ), the second child of the Erbpächter, Hermann and Hanne Erdsiek nee Glied, was born on 4 Jul 1876 at Elferdissen #95, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 9 Jul 1876 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.32
108. iii. HERMANN HEINRICHG7 ERDSIEK (1879- ), the third and last child of the Erbpächter, Hermann and Hanne Erdsiek nee Glied, was born on 21 Jun 1879 at Elferdissen #95, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 29 Jun 1879 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.33
109. ii. JOHANN HEINRICHG6 GLIED (1848- ), the second child of the Heürling, Johann and Anne Glied nee Dre˙er, was born on 14 Sep 1848 at Elferdissen #2, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 17 Sep 1848 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.34 He was born in the same year as the revolt of 1848. On 5 Apr 1878, Johann Heinrich Glied, age 29, wed the widow, HANNE FRIEDRIKE DANNHAUS nee TIEMANN, age 31. They were married at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church at Herford.35 Hanne (1846-1903), the daughter of the Heürling, Peter Henrich and Anne Louise Tiemann nee Wittland, was born on 4 Jun 1846 at Elferdissen #83. She was baptized on 7 Jun 1846 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church at Herford.36 Her first husband, Friedrich Wilhelm Daunhaus, died in May of 1877.37 After their marriage, Johann and Hanne made their home in Elferdissen where Johann was a Heürling and later a Colon. Hanne Wilhelmine Glied nee Tiemann, age 57, died on 30 Sep 1903 at Elferdissen #69 and was buried on 5 Oct 1903.38 The children of Johann and Hanne Glied nee Tiemann: 110. Jobst, 111. Hanne, 112. 110. i. JOBST HEINRICH AUGUSTG7 GLIED (TWIN) (1879-1879), the first child of the Heürling, Johann and Hanne Glied nee Tiemann, was born at 11 A.M. on 27 Jan 1879 at Elferdissen #9, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized with his twin sister on 2 Feb 1879 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.39 Jobst died from Krämpfe (spasms) on 31 Mar 1879 at Elferdissen #9, Westfalen, Germany and was buried on 4 Apr 1879.40

HANNE FRIEDERICKEG7 GLIED (TWIN) (1879- ), the second child of the Heürling, Johann and Hanne Glied nee Tiemann, was born at noon on 27 Jan 1879 at Elferdissen #9, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized with her twin brother on 2 Feb 1879 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.41
112. iii. GOTTLIEB HEINRICHG7 GLIED (1881- ), the third child of the Heürling, Johann and Hanne Glied nee Tiemann, was born on 13 Oct 1881 at Elferdissen #9, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 16 Oct 1881 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.42
113. iv. ANNE AUGUSTEG7 GLIED (1884-1891), the fourth child of the Heürling, Johann and Hanne Glied nee Tiemann, was born on 28 May 1884 at Elferdissen #69, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 2 Jun 1884 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.43 Anne, age 6, died from Schwindsucht (consumption) on 3 May 1891 at Elferdissen and was buried on 8 May 1891 in the Münstergemeinde Kirchhof in Herford.44
114. v. AUGUST HEINRICH PHILIPG7 GLIED (1888-1888), the fifth child of the Colon, Johann and Hanne Glied nee Tiemann, was born on 26 Apr 1888 at Elferdissen #69, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 29 Apr 1888 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.45 August died on 3 Oct 1888 at Elferdissen #69 and was buried on 6 Oct 1888 in the Münstergemeinde Kirchhof in Herford.46
115. iii. HERMANN WILHELMG6 GLIED (1852- ), the third and last child of the Heürling, Johann and Anne Glied nee Dre˙er, was born on Christmas Eve, 24 Dec 1852 at Elferdissen #2, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 26 Dec 1852 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.47 On 15 Sep 1882, Hermann Wilhelm Glied, age 29, wed HANNE FRIEDERIKE LOUISE HADDENHORST, age 26, at the Evangelisch Church in Herford.48 Hanne (1856-1905), the first child of the Erbpächter, Hermann Heinrich and Friederike Wilhelmine Haddenhorst nee Fleher, was born on 7 Mar 1856 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #40, Westfalen, Germany. She was baptized on 14 Mar 1856 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.49 After their marriage, Hermann and Hanne made their home with Hermann's grandparents at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60. Hermann was a Colon. Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, age 49, died from Schlaganfall (stroke) on 25 Mar 1905 at Radewig/Feldmark and was buried on 29 Mar 1905. She was survived by her husband, Hermann, and four children.50 The children of Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst: 116. Johanne, 117. Anne, 118. Martha, 119. Emma, 120. Heinrich, and 121. 116. i. JOHANNE FRIEDERIKEG7 GLIED (1884- ), the first child of the Colon, Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, was born in 17 Jan 1884 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 20 Jan 1884 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.51
117. ii. ANNE MARIE LOUISEG7 GLIED (1888-1902), the second child of the Colon, Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, was born on 18 Mar 1888 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 25 Mar 1888 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.52 Anne, age 14, died from Krebs (cancer) on 29 Nov 1902 at Altstädt/Feldmark #60, and was buried on 1 Dec 1902.53
118. iii. MARTHA LOUISE JOHANNEG7 GLIED (1890- ), the third child of the Colon, Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, was born on 12 Jan 1890 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 19 Jan 1890 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.54
119. iv. EMMA JOHANNE AUGUSTEG7 GLIED (1892-1910), the fourth child of the Colon, Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, was born on 21 Jul 1892 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 31 Jul 1892 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.55 Emma, age 17, died from Krebs (cancer) on 5 Apr 1910 at Altstädt/Feldmark #60 and was buried on 8 Apr 1910.56
120. v. HEINRICH GUSTAVG7 GLIED (TWIN) (1895-1896), the fifth child of the Colon, Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, was born at 10 A.M. on 24 Jun 1895 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized with his twin brother on 7 Jul 1895 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.57 Heinrich, age 1, died on 29 Mar 1896 at Altstädt/Feldmark #60 and was buried on 1 Apr 1896.58
121. vi. HERMANN HEINRICHG7 GLIED (TWIN) (1895- ), the sixth and last child of the Colon, Hermann and Hanne Glied nee Haddenhorst, was born at 11 A.M. on 24 Jun 1895 at Bauerschaft Altstädt #60, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized with his twin brother on 7 Jul 1895 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.59
122. GLIED SONG5 (1809-1809), the second child of the Heürling, Albert HenrichG4 and Anna Ilsabein Glied nee Westerwelle(n), was stillborn at 4 A.M. on 15 Jan 1809 at Bauerschaft Eicum #37, Westfalen, Germany and was buried on 17 Jan 1809 in the Münstergemeinde Kirchhof in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.60
123. ANNE CHRISTINEG5 GLIED (1809-1882), the third child of the Heürling, Albert HenrichG4 and Anna Ilsabein Glied nee Westerwelle(n), was born at 9 P.M. on 21 Dec 1809 at Bauerschaft Eicum #41, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on Christmas Eve, 24 Dec 1809 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford, Westfalen, Germany.61 Anne grew up in this locale which was now a Prussian province. She was 22 when she married the widower, Johann Christian Holtmann and became the step-mother to his four children. Johann (1798-1858), the son of the Musketier (Musketeer), Johann Friedrich and Anne Margrethe Ilsabein Holtmann nee Möller, was born on 14 Apr 1798 at Bauerschaft Diebrock #2, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 15 Apr 1798 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.62 He grew up in the Diebrock locale. Johann Holtmann was 23 years old when he wed his first wife, Anne Marie Louise Frentrups on 18 Feb 1821 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.63 During the ten years of his first marriage, Johann and his first wife made their home at Bauerschaft Diebrock, where Johann was a Heürling. Johann's first wife, Anne Marie Louise Frentrups (1802-1831), the legitimate daughter of Hermann Henrich Tiemann and his wife Anne Margrethe Ilsabein Frentrups, was born on 6 Feb 1802 at Bauerschaft Radewig #7 and was baptized on 14 Feb 1802 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.64 Anne Holtmann nee Frentrups, age 29, died in childbirth on 13 Feb 1831 at her home at Bauerschaft Diebrock #15. She did not live to see her newborn son baptized on 15 Feb. She was buried on 16 Feb 1831.65 Johann fathered four children by his first wife and ten children with his second wife, Anne Christine Holtmann nee Glied. Anne Marie Holtmann nee Heidbreder, age 60, died on 30 Jun 1893 at Neustädt Feldmark #114, Westfalen, Germany and was buried on 4 Jul 1893 in the Berg Kirchhof. She was survived by her husband and four children.84 Hermann died within four months of the death of his second wife. They were married only a short while before Friedrike died. Friedrike Holtmann nee Osterhaus born Sievert, age 21, died on 3 Apr 1880 at Bauerschaft Radewig, Westfalen, Germany and was buried on 7 Apr 1880. She died following childbirth. Friedrike was survived by her husband and one daughter.104 Three years later, Johann remarried. On 26 Apr 1883, the widower, Johann Bernhard Holtmann, age 43, wed his second wife, ANNA RICHTER, age 19. They were married at the Evangelisch Church in Herford.105 Anna (1864- ), the daughter of Franz Ludwig Leopold and Hanne Wilhelmine Richter nee Steffen, was born on 12 Feb 1864 at Bauerschaft Radewig.106 Seven years after their marriage, Johann died. Johann Bernhard Holtmann, age 60, died on 30 Sep 1900 at Radewig/Feldmark, Westfalen, Germany and was buried on 4 Oct 1900. He was survived by his second wife and two children from his second marriage.107

Hermann and Anne Catharine probably emigrated to St. Louis, MO after 1850 as they didn't appear again in the German Church Records. The surname Reinke was found in the records of St. Peter's Evangelisch Church of St. Louis, MO. Albert'sG4 mother, Anne Marie Ilsabein Wörheide was allegedly born in Sep of 1764. Her birth record was not located in the Jöllenbeck, Schildesche or in any of the surrounding parishes nor were her parents identified. The Wörheide surname appeared rarely in the church records of this area.
Anne Marie Ilsabein Wörheide wed JOHANN FRIDERICH BOHLMANN. 175 Johann (1762-1822), the son of the Heürling, Johann Hermann Bohlmann, was born on 2 May 1762 at Hüffen and was baptized on 27 May 1762 at the Evangelisch Church in Bünde, Westfalen, Germany.176 Johann and Anne lived in several places during their lifetime. They lived at Bauerschaft Laer between 1788-1790 where their first two children were born. Sometime before 1793, they moved to Bauerschaft Stedefreund where their fourth child was born. After a brief stay at Bauerschaft Stedefreund, they moved to Hollinde where their fifth child was born in 1794. Johann and Anne then moved to Oldinghausen where they lived until Anne's death in 1814. After her death, Johann moved to Eilshausen where one of his married daughters resided. Johann was a Heürling, a Spinner and an Erbpächter.177 Anne had five children with her husband, Johann Friedrich Bohlmann. She died one week before the wedding of her daughter, Hanne Marianne. Anne Marie Bohlmann nee Wörheide, age 50, died at 6 P.M. from Auszehrung (consumption) on 13 Oct 1814 at Oldinghausen bei #4, Westfalen, Germany. She was buried on 16 Oct 1814 in the kirchhof at Enger, Westfalen, Germany.178 Her husband, Johann Friderich Bohlmann, age 60, died on 30 Nov 1822 at Eilshausen #1, Westfalen, Germany, and was buried on 3 Dec 1822 in the kirchhof at Hiddenhausen, Westfalen, Germany.179

On 21 Oct 1814, Hanne Marianne Bohlmann, age 24, wed the Sagenschneider (plank cutter) and Heürling, CASPAR HEINRICH POHLMANN, age 25, at the Evangelisch Church in Enger, Westfalen, Germany.183 Caspar (1789-1831), the son of the Heürling and Spinner, Hermann Henrich and Trin Ilsabein Pohlmann nee Freitags, was born on 1 Dec 1789 at Bauerschaft Eicum #32, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 6 Dec 1789 at the Evangelisch Münstergemeinde Church in Herford.184 After their marriage, Hanne and Caspar lived in Oldinghausen where their first child was born. They then moved to Bauerschaft Diebrock where their second child was born. Sometime before 1820, they moved to Herringhausen where they lived the rest of their lives. Caspar was a Heürling and Spinner. Hanne was also a Spinner. They were married at the Evangelisch Church in Hiddenhausen, Westfalen, Germany.227 Ernst (1790-1853), the son of the Heürling, Johann Henrich and Marie Ilsabein Hempelmann nee Frentrups, was born on 1 Feb 1790 at Eilshausen #1, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 7 Feb 1790 at the Evangelisch Church in Hiddenhausen.228 Anne and Ernst made their home at Eilshausen #1, where Ernst was a Heürling. Johann was killed in a railroad accident.235 Six years later, his widow remarried. On 4 Aug 1854, Anne Catharine Ilsabein Hempelmann nee Tiemann, age 38, wed her second husband, the widower, HERMANN HENRICH WILLBRAND, age 43, at the Evangelisch Church at Hiddenhausen. Hermann (1810- ), the son of the Heürling, Johann Heinrich and Anne Marie Ilsabein Willbrand nee Reinemeier, was born on 4 Nov 1810 at Bauerschaft Schweicheln, Westfalen, Germany. Sometime between 1852 and 1857, they moved to Oetinghausen #47, Westfalen, Germany, where Caspar was an Erbpächter. Anne Catharine Ilsabein Budde nee Hempelmann, age 63, died on 30 Jan 1893 at Oetinghausen #47 and was buried on 2 Feb 1893 in the kirchhof at Hiddenhausen. She was survived by her husband, Caspar, and seven children.321 Caspar Heinrich Budde, age 63, died two years later, on 14 Jan 1895 at Oetinghausen #47 and was buried on 17 Jan 1895 in the kirchhof at Hiddenhausen. Anne Friederike Budde nee Wortmann, age 35, died following the birth of a daughter, on 12 Mar 1894 at Oetinghausen #78 and was buried on 16 Mar 1894 in the kirchhof at Hiddenhausen. She was survived by her husband, Hermann, and three children.329 Hermann remarried three months after the death of his wife. On 6 Jun 1894, Hermann Heinrich Budde wed his second wife, HANNE FRIEDERIKE ILSABEIN ASSLER. 330 Hanne Friederike Budde nee Assler (1874-1905), died on 28 Oct 1905 at Oetinghausen #78 and was buried on 1 Nov 1905. She was 31 years old at the time of her death and was survived by her husband and three children.331 Hermann was a Werkmeister (a factory foreman) when his second wife died. He died within six months of his second wife. Hermann Heinrich Budde, age 48, died on 15 Apr 1906 at Oetinghausen #78 and was buried on 18 Apr 1906 in the kirchhof at Hiddenhausen. He was survived by two children from his first marriage and three children from his second marriage.332

ERNST FRIEDRICH BUDDE (1861-1928), the third child of the Erbpächter, Caspar and Anne Budde nee Hempelmann, was born on 19 Feb 1861 at Oetinghausen #47, Westfalen, Germany and was baptized on 24 Feb 1861 at the Evangelisch Church in Hiddenhausen, Westfalen, Germany.333 On 28 Aug 1883, Ernst Friedrich Budde, age 22, wed HANNE FRIEDERIKE HÖPNER, age 23, at the Evangelisch Church in Hiddenhausen.334 Hanne (1860-1926), the daughter of the Heürling, Johann Heinrich and Anne Marie Luise Höpner nee Bockemeier, was born on 24 Jan 1860 at Hiddenhausen.335 Hanne and Ernst made their home at Oetinghausen #93. Hanne Budde nee Höpner died on 24 Jan 1926.336 Ernst Friedrich Budde, age 67, died from Magenkrebs (stomach cancer) on 21 Mar 1928 at Oetinghausen #93 and was buried on 24 Mar 1928.
